The Sensor Connection Status display requires that at least one of the sensors in the headband be making proper connection to the head/scalp, else it will likely show a false green, or will be flashing back-and-forth from red to green.  This means that the unit, while just laying on a table or counter, will display a false green or will be flashing back-and-forth between a red and a green status.

This is considered normal, but only if none of the sensors are making proper contact with the client's scalp/forehead.
